The hardcover boards are burgandy with gilt lettering on the spine and top. The first two pages, including the author's picture and the title page, have small tears and have pulled away from the hand knotting at the bottom, otherwise tight pages and slight yellowing from age. This book would make a wonderful gift or addition to your library.
The important history of this edition is that the intended audience was “the masses”. Great publisher story, great author, can’t go wrong.
